Drupal looks like the most attractive option so-far, as it gives the most in terms of autonomy and design flexibility. Compare to Wordpress, which has many good features, and Blogger, which is very user-friendly; a Drupal run site would be hosted on our own domain, use our own html code, and will use our own storage space. The downside is that it will likely require our own server. If Drupal becomes the top choice, then we should first talk about what hardware will be used (I think something like an old desktop could work for starters). I've this week off, and I'm looking into the details--but I trust there is somebody out there with good IT training they'd like to share.

ugh. I'm running into a lot of stupid mistakes and errors; but overall, I think I can get a crude version up and running. Also, this wiki's robots thinks I'm a spammer and won't let me upload sample design pages...

let me add: it will take at least another week to get a test site up

Drupal sounds like the way to go. Princeton can provide server space -- that's no problem. I'll see what further help our tech guys can offer.
